Book GROUNDEDBorn in the trenches of the Phoenix underground, GROUNDED didn't wait for permission — they earned every stage they ever stepped on.
Starting around 1997, the band cut their teeth the hard way: grinding it out live in the legendary clubs of the Phoenix valley and beyond. From Hollywood Alley in Mesa; to Donnie Brasco’s, the Clubhouse, and the Last Exit in Tempe; to raucous road trips up north at the LumberJack House and the historic Hotel Monte Vista in Flagstaff, these venues became home.
Along the way, GROUNDED shared bills with heavyweights like Sacred Reich, Death on Wednesday, and The Black Moods, alongside the Valley's finest local acts like Fred Green, Haggis, and Oil. By 2002, they were turning heads digitally and over the airwaves, landing as the featured band on cornerband.com and taking over 98 KUPD's Red Radio Underground as the Local Artist Spotlight with their single "Running in Circles."
In 2004, the band dropped their debut LP, "Awake," recorded at Phase Four Digital Studios in Tempe, primarily with multi-platinum engineer Ralph Patlan. The standout track "Intravenous," engineered by Greg Norris, became their breakthrough anthem on Arizona rock radio, earning them a full-color feature profile in AZ Weekly’s "Get Out" magazine.
True to their punk-rock ethos, when offered a record deal and a management contract along the way, GROUNDED turned them down to keep the music strictly on their own terms. Careers and families grew, but the songs never stopped. In 2020, they bridged the gap with the EP "Living the Dream," capturing six singles recorded across nine years, alongside a blistering archival live set, "Live at Hollywood Alley," from a legendary 2007 show.
Now, in 2026, GROUNDED is back.
The chapter continues with five brand-new singles, kicking off with the premiere of "Right Now" on November 6.
The grit hasn't faded, the fire hasn't died, and GROUNDED is just getting started. GET READY.
